Madison Park High School opens.

September 30, 1977

(Sept.) Architect: Marcel Breuer. And Tician Papachristou. Designed in the Brutalist style, it is located at today’s 75 Malcolm X Boulevard. Breur’s original idea was to build a 23-story high rise to house four independent schools. The school merges with the Hubert Humphrey Occupational Resource Center to become Madison Park Technical Vocational High in 1987. Some of the building subsequently becomes home to the O’Bryant School of Math and Science and Boston Adult Technical Academy.
